Catholic Online has said as much, and wikipedia’s article on Pentecostalism seems to confirm it. I don’t really know what to add other than this is very, very sad :(, and that the whole bit about ecumenism seems only to make it easier for these churches to steal away our members.

i know the pentecostals have the world’s largest church in Brazil- 250000 regular worshippers!

Don’t give up so easily…there have been so many Catholic martyrs to our faith…
and those being raised to sainthood as well,
Bishop Romero for instance.

With all things, keep praying. God is in charge and He said that he would be with us until the end of time!

The general culture has become very sensual rather than contemplative and mystical. Pentacostalism appeals very much to modern man’s disordered appetites for excitement, entertainment, and sensory experience. Catholicism offers the correct and ordered path to God which is less appealing to modern man.

We are having a tough time in Latin America but we are taking it back! I lived there for over a year and saw amazing things. Working with the Friars of the Renewal was great too.

I went with the Missioners of Christ and we worked closely with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal who have a mission right next door to ours in Honduras.

It really is incredible to see how many people come back to the Catholic church once they have someone to walk with them in the faith. All that is needed is more laborers for the harvest… This is a time of renewal and I am sure that more young people will step up and say yes to the call of Jesus!
