And congrats on making the final 12 Sancta! Now that it’s over, I feel safe saying that I entered the contest too, but I didn’t even make the 12 finalists! You did awesome!! 👍

I honestly don’t know. It sounded like they opened up voting to the public kind of as a courtesy - or almost to get a “feel” of what people liked. I guess votes didn’t matter because someone posted earlier that I was in the lead at the end…

They did open it up to different organizations and such and I know they themselves at Mothering had the final say.

My poor relatives and friends are all bummed too…I must say it is a HUGE relief for me. Sounds weird (then why did I enter to begin with?), I know, but I like my anonymity. 🙂
 
Hey, are you sure you didn’t back out at the last minute, Sancta, out of fear of being known by all? 🙂

I am also disappointed they picked the other person, but I’m glad you’re not too upset about it. What in the world is a *man *doing designing something for Mothering magazine anyway? I hope the guys at work don’t give him too hard of a time about it 😛

I’m glad they didn’t pick that odd #1 icon though. Phew!
 
I too liked yours best. The winner was my second choice. At first I thought I didn’t like it. Now with the interview of him I see that his is good from an ‘outsiders’ perspective. If I see his icon in the future I will always remember you instead.

I think they must have had their mind made up to go with # 3 regardless of the voting.
