I used to listen to a radio station called “Family Radio.” Although I do not anymore, but at the time when I believed it it was AWESOME beacuse it was 24/7! Every weekday night from 8:30pm to 10pm they would have “open forum” and would discuss all sorts of things. There was Bible reading at other times, awesome Holy music, and many wonderful things, Church sermons too. But now I do not believe what Harold Camping teaches as I am now Catholic but it would be good if there were a Catholic Radio Station like that.

Seems like on the web you could find out if Catholic radio broadcasts in your listening area. I’ve got 990 and 1090 am here in the Detroit area. 24/7, like you said, with lots of call-in programs.
Peace.
John

I can’t find any for my area. Do any of you know of any around Albany NY?

are there any databases to search through or enter a zip code in for searching? I haven’t come across any in my area either.

Peace,
Michael

The closest one to you is about 200 miles northwest. Have you tried XM or Short Wave?

I do not think XM has EWTN is on XM. I know it is on Sirius.

I do not know of any data bases, but here is a list of the stations who run EWTN radio programming:

I’m sorry use XM like AM and FM as a generic shorthand for Satellite radio. Not specific to any provider.

We have a Catholic radio station here, too…but I don’t like it much. It seems kind of…sugary. It’s not that it’s liberal, it’s pretty orthodox, but there’s something that bugs me about it. Let’s just say that if a Protestant or Atheist found it, it probably wouldn’t likely convert them, with the exception of a few shows they have on that station, like “Catholic Answers Live”.

HI! I’m originally from Pasco, my husband from Kennewick. We were just there for a wedding, so howdy.
Anyways - I believe your station is based in Walla Walla. I listen constantly when I’m in town, I believe it mainly carries the EWTN feed, and also used to carry things from Ava Maria Radio too?
I also listen to the Portland/Vancouver station when I’m in town there - family in Salem. That station now plays music all day, then I think switches to EWTN at night. That was kinda disappointing.

If you want to tap into ours here in Omaha go to www.kvss.com and click on the listen live tab!
I backup Riverman - Our Catholic Radio station in the Omaha Archdiocese is top notch. I used to listen to it on the internet when I lived outside the diocese. Now that I’m back in Omaha, I listen to it daily in my car. 👍

I’m part of a group in the Albany, NY area - attempting to get Catholic Answers on a local radio station. The biggest challenge is putting together the necessary funds to accomplish this. With God’s help - all things are possible. We’re moving forward in faith - and with lots of prayers.

If you’re from the Albany, NY area - and would like to help - send me an email. If you’re not - please pray for our group. Thanks.

PS. We do a Catholic Apologetics show on Saturdays at 5:00pm on WDCD - 1540 AM. Listen in - if you can.

In Chicago, we have www.relaventradio.com

It is an excellent station.
They are also in other areas as well besides Chicagoland, also in Pittsburgh, and some parts of Florida.
