wearing a rosary

I once saw a Mexican-immigrant worker enter a chapel, kneel before the blessed sacrament, then remove a rosary from around his neck (and under his work shirt) to pray on it. Very inspiring.

It was probably simple and made of heavy cord so it would not break.

On the other hand, I get sad for Our Lady when I see someone wearing a diamond encrusted, 18k gold and sterling silver rosary and I know that it will never be prayed.
The cheesiest kids plastic rosary with glow-in-the-dark beads which has been prayed once is worth more than all the solid gold rosaries in the world put together if they have never been prayed.
