I enjoy wearing colognes. I found one that supposedly smells like lemons and was a good price in various drug stores in a nearby city. I was interested in trying it until I looked online and found that it’s used for occult purposes by some people. This really put me off from it, but I still want to try it but only as a cologne. It’s called Murray and Lanman’s Florida Water and I don’t know if they do something demonic to it when they make it. Would it be spiritually dangerous to wear this cologne?

This sounds really silly since it’s just a cologne, but the whole occult thing is really weird.

Weird people do all sorts of weird things. Don’t worry about it. If you like it, wear it (sparingly, please.)

It’s probably like essential oils. Spiritually neutral, but some people use them for all sorts of things that might not be.

It’s just a cologne. Nothing spiritually dangerous about it at all.

Are you scrupulous?

I’m not scrupulous. I’m cautious about things that could let the demonic into your life. Thats what

Even if some weirdo somewhere uses it in dark “ceremony”, it doesn’t mean the cologne acquires some kind of special evil powers. It just means that guy’s witch coven or whatever smells like lemons.

A lot of things could be used for occult purposes by some people. That has nothing to do with others using them correctly.

If the brand bothers you, you could try going to a department store and visit the men’s cologne counter. Ask for a scent with citrus tones.

Hi Melodeonist,

It’s nice to see you posting! 🙂

I understand what you’re trying to say, and where you’re coming from.

As an example, I like to use plant/flower essential oils for aromatherapy and relaxation and therapeutic purposes.

Some consider them to be “New Age,” and there are some websites where they’re used in this type of way.

However, I try and avoid those websites and those purposes too, but I still like to use the oils for their benefits.

So, I agree with the others and would also tell you to go ahead and use the cologne if you like it.

I think that if someone really wanted to, they could take something really innocent and make it into something nefarious.

I hate to even really think about it, but that seems possible. 😑

ZOMG I love Florida Water!
It’s a classic scent and it’s not occult.
But it’s very old timey and light and it’s really good for daytime use.

I’m just sad you can’t find it in the original glass bottles.

Keep in mind that occult practitioners also use salt and a whole lot of everyday food products in their rituals. We don’t stop eating and using salt on our food.

Anything can be used for good or bad.
