Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today is Saturday (always “Mary’s day” for me). It is also Oct. 15, Feast of the great St. Teresa of Avila who wrote so beautifully on the interior life and the way of perfection. May St. Teresa pray for us with all the saints and angels, that we grow closer to God as we journey to Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary.
My husband and I evacuated from the southeastern coast of the USA as Hurricane Matthew headed towards us. Our Governor mandated evacuation from coastal areas on Wednesday, Oct. 5 and we headed north at least 100 miles. We were not given the OK to return until Oct. 10 so I hope some of you were able to continue the journey toward Total Consecration by using your own copies of "True Devotion" or finding some help on the internet.
We are now in Wk 2, day 6, in which we are seeking more understanding of our Blessed Mother. During these last two days of this week, let us hear St. Louis de Montfort’s description of we can pray and ponder to gain this understanding:
Praying my Rosary, I’ve been pondering Mary’s relationship with Jesus in the Mysteries. Before beginning this post, In the mystery of Jesus’ Agony in the Garden, I’ve wondered if God gave Mary knowledge of what was happening in the Garden, or if by her motherly intuition she knew Jesus was suffering and she prayed with Him in His agony. The Rosary helps us to ponder the mysteries of both Jesus’ and Mary’s Lives together.
Please let us pray for one another as we continue our journey, and let us pray for all those in most need of God’s Mercy. May we learn from Mary to comfort Jesus who suffered so much for us. May we offer whatever comfort we can to each brother and sister in our human family – born and unborn – in our world today.

Have you been praying more to the Holy Spirit, on this journey? It seems I have prayed more to the Holy Spirit than in my past journeys to Total Consecration. It may be due to having read so recently the Encyclical on the Holy Spirit by St. John Paul II. As we were completing that thread, I wanted to begin this journey and not wait until preparing for Mar. 25.
