Weird and a bit embarrassing situation

Okay, I know wet dreams are not a sin, because there is no consent of the loss of seminal fluid. I woke up in the middle of one early this morning, but the content of the dream was not even sexual. It was, however, very disturbing. I was dreaming someone being beheaded (and this was not anybody that I know). It seems so unusual that a sick thing like this would arouse me in my sleep. I would neve wish such a fate on anyone. Any thoughts?

Our emotional state and ability to judge time while we are asleep or just awake can be difficult to understand. I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you

I would assume that the two are connected. The wet dream could have happened before the bad dream. However, if in your fully awake mind you find such violence to be arousing, you should seek professional assistance.

This is nothing to be concerned about in general. It is a very common human reaction to have what seems to be an illogical response to stimuli. In short, when there is a mental shock (I would HOPE that witnessing a beheading or the thought of it would be most disturbing) to the body, the chemical reaction can bring about strange effects.

You would not think, for example, that one who is about to be executed might also have his sexual responses stimulated. But there have been observations of that very thing happening. Doctors who have had to pronounce the condemned as officially dead have observed that an ejaculation also occurred. This is not anything sexual. In reality, the body is just so charged with stimuli in the face of such an impending event, that all functions go off the scale.

Men experience this through nocturnal erections, which are not generally sexually oriented. In our dreams, the body can be overcome with many emotions and stimuli at once (while in REM sleep), and this usually results in erections.

Dreams are in themselves generally illogical or bizarre. So it makes sense to have an illogical or bizarre response to them. It doesn’t mean you are emotionally disturbed. In my opinion, the arousal and the dream are disconnected. Especially since it sounds like you don’t normally have this sort of reaction to violence.

In general, I wouldn’t worry about the content of dreams that cause these sort of “things” to happen (unless, possibly, it’s a recurrent theme). It happens to people all the time. I would cite examples, but I don’t think it’s necessary.

I think sometimes, especially in teenagers, people can get so wound up sexually that just about anything can turn them on, especially in a dream.

I wouldn’t worry about the content of the dream being relevant. My last wet dream was about a man, in a very non-sexual way. And I’m straight with a girlfriend

I then woke up from that wet dream within my dream, cleaned up, then really woke up, and had to clean up again!
