Hi Jimmy.

Nothing changed much. Perhaps it was better eight years ago, the prayer life and the enthusiasm for God. Now the computer has become the scourge that gnaws on prayer life and then there is that laziness for prayers and going out to do the work of the Lord. I would be glad not to go and if I go that is because I have to. Perhaps we should pray for each other to keep the fire of zeal and enthusiasm for the Lord always burning, that we will never be weary and tire to do the Lord’s work.

God bless.

Jimmy,
Congratulations on your tenure here and God’s blessings to you as you continue in your journey in faith.
Are you as certain about your beliefs?
I have remained firm in my Lutheran beliefs although I pray more for Christian unity.
Where were you eight years ago?
I had just graduated from the seminary and was awaiting my first call and ordination as a Lutheran pastor.
I have been criticized by non-Catholics here at CAF, over the years for, I guess, not being “Christian” enough. Now, some of those same people aren’t even Christian anymore.
I have no doubt that you are a faithful Christian. Your posts over the years speak eloquently to that.
Christianity is not, nor should it be viewed as a phase. Have your religious views changed in the last eight years? If they have, please tell your story.
No major changes. I try to be open to learning something new, especially if I’m not particularly looking for it. The Holy Spirit has a way of surprising us now and then.

Eight years ago we were in a nondenominational church that was Charismatic. Part of the Charismatic movement or the New Apostolic Reformation as it is also called. We have been in the Catholic Church a year now, working on our annulments and going through RCIA. Never been happier.
