What about Confession for a non Catholic?

Is it possible for somebody that has no religious affiliation to go to a confessional? I have been thinking of it for quite some time now, mostly in order to speak my mind to somebody and receive advice on my thoughts.

Hi,

You don’t mention if you are baptized. Baptism is necessary in order to receive any other sacraments. If you were taking classes to be a Catholic and had been baptized, you would be allowed to go to Confession so long as you had been instructed on how to do it. But if you just want to talk to the priest, this IS allowed. Go for it!
