What about gaining the indulgence when cemetery gate is locked?

Regarding the November 1-8 plenary indulgences for the dead. Can this be done without entering the cemetery (praying while standing outside the gate) if the gate is locked?

Of course, assuming all other requisties (confession, Holy Communion, etc.) being accomplished.

Dear friend,

You do not have to be at the graves of the deceased to gain a plenary indulgence for them on All Souls Day. Better to offer those prayers before the Blessed Sacrament.
