What does the Church teach about ghosts and ghostly phenomena?
This is one of the reasons I asked the question. My husband has seen a ghost of a woman who died in her home. He was in the home of one of his brother’s friends. While sitting in the living room, he saw what he describes as a little old grandma walking in the kitchen and into the pantry. Not too long after, his brother’s friend and his wife, who were renting the house, found out from neighbors that the elderly women who used to live there was found dead in the pantry. Yes, I have also wondered about the ghosts of children, also. When a person starts looking into this stuff, you come to find there are people all over who have experienced ghostly phenomena. I also have. So, my hubbie and I having had first hand experience with ghosts, have often wondered what is official Church teaching on this subject.. How do we know they are actually ghosts of dead humans? I would think they were spirits but not human and never were. This romances the whole idea and allows people to be deceived.
