I know that demons were originally fallen angels banished from heaven to hell by Arc Angel Michael. Are there any other types of demons? How can these spirit exist outside hell and possess people?
No - but we can reject them.I wasn’t aware they were cast into hell. I know they were thrown out of heaven, but isn’t it up to us to cast em into the “Pit their pride has dug for them”?

Thanks for the link - a very interesting read. This is from the Catholic Encyclopedia newadvent.org/cathen/04713a.htm It may not address all of your questions, but it is informative.
StCsDavid said:Mark.5
*]9] And Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He replied, “My name isLegion; for we are many.”
Luke.8
*]30] Jesus then asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion”; for many demons had entered him.
So here are two account of the same story indicating that demons can possess people. What’s also interesting is that these demons preferred to be sent into the pigs versus being thrown into Hell. Seems they’re not all that anxious to go there either.
Who in their right mind would reject the Soverignty of God?Who in their right mind would want to go to hell![]()
Okay, so what happened to them after the pigs died? What’s also interesting is that these demons preferred to be sent into the pigs versus being thrown into Hell.
Yes and no. Demons are fallen angels, but they were never technically in Heaven…that’s just a symbolic representation of what happened. All of the angels are created, and then (more or less immediately) given the choice to accept or reject God…those that accepted God entered into Heaven, and those that rejected God were “cast down out of the heavens” into Hell.I know that demons were originally fallen angels banished from heaven to hell by Archangel Michael.
I’m not sure what you mean. There are different types of demons (just like there are different types of angels), but all demons are fallen angels; that’s just what the definition of a demon is.Are there any other types of demons?
They don’t exist outside of Hell, and they can only possess people if God allows them to. When you’re dealing with purely spiritual creatures (such as angels and demons), it might be helpful to think of Hell as more of a state of existence…being eternally cut off from God. They can be in Hell (cut off from God) and still capable of interacting with the physical world…just as angels (like the archangel Gabriel, or our guardian angels) can be here (and even interact) with us, although they are also (at the same time) experiencing the Beatific Vision in Heaven. How can these spirit exist outside hell and possess people?
more than you think.Who in their right mind would reject the Soverignty of God?

If you take into account that they have already made their final decision, this is not possible. They’ve sealed their own fate. What’s done is done. What if a demon where to see the error of his/her way and repent?
7 Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back,
8 but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.
9 The huge dragon, the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world,
was thrown down to earth, and its angels were thrown down with it.
