There is a conflict between Human Rights Codes here in Canada and in Europe with the God given rights as understood by the Catholic Church. In Europe the Pope has pointed out that God is not even mentioned in the EU Constitution and yet of course it should be as the roots of European law and civilization are Catholic.
Now,the areas of disagreement centre around abortion and homosexual “gay marriages” to mention just two areas .
This conflict between two sets of human rights should not exist. I think it does so because Human Rights codes were made by secular humanists . The Catholic Church does not have a Human Rights code as defined, but I think the Church supports the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights in principle. There may be areas of disagreement here I am not aware of.
