What are morally acceptable means to prevent an abortion

And, whether we like it or not, abortion is legal. In the US today abortion is not infanticide and abortion is not 1st degree murder. We make ourselves look dotty when we use these terms.

When one wishes to engage in public discourse, choice of terms is important.

You have said its okay to enter an abortion clinic, enter the room where abortion takes place and kill the doctor!!
YOU are in the wrong. The Church absolutely does not condone such actions. I repeat its your perverted interpretations of defense of others!
What on Earth are you talking about? I never said it is okay to enter an abortion clinic, to enter the room where the abortion takes place and I certainly never said to kill the doctor. You are entirely in error. Where is this coming from? What bias do you have that reads this into anything that I have stated?

Seriously? You are comparing the happenstance of someone being in the presence of an immediate abortion with someone bringing a rifle across town and charging into a clinic shooting people? You took what I said and twisted it to this? How about asking me to define better what I meant rather than jump down this twisted hole.

IF ONE SOMEHOW IS LEGITIMATELY IN A ROOM THAT AN ABORTION IS ACTIVELY OCCURRING THEN THEY HAVE A MORAL OBLIGATION TO PUT A STOP TO IT. They should use means that can stop the murder with as little damage as possible. If, there is no other way, and the satanic people are somehow preventing you from stopping them short of lethal force, THEN, it seems warranted that lethal force may be employed (NOTE-LETHAL FORCE IS NOT ALWAYS LETHAL!!!).

I stated earlier in the thread that merely seeing an abortionist walking into a clinic does not strike me as the time to use lethal force.

You have twisted this out of context.

Your exact words:

“I have thought about this before. If you see an abortionist about to perform an abortion then it is legitimate to use force to stop him, including lethal force.”

You’re the one trying to defend using lethal force against doctors. There can be no defending this, by any pro-lifer in any serious way. What you’re encouraging is nothing less than acts of terrorism.

Calling it “happenstance” is meaningless. You do not somehow magically wake up in an operating theater, and even if you did, the doctor is abiding by the law and you have no right to use lethal force against him.

Your discussion here is highly scandalous. You’re exactly the kind of pro-lifer, other pro-lifers have to work hard to argue against.

Lethal force against abortion doctors, can not be defended.

As I said I really think this thread ought to be shut down.

Actually you very specifically said the opposite. You defended this as the actions of someone working at an abortion clinic or a hospital. If they were asked to be brought into the surgical wing, then you argued they have a moral duty to use lethal force.

You are also fully aware that what you’re arguing for constitutes murder and a terrorist act. That you would be jailed for it, but that you’d be proud to be jailed for it.

There is no defending this. These are your own words!

This could happen to someone working in a hospital. They might be brought in to aid or monitor vitals during this evil. They should and have a right to stop it. It would be preventing the abortion and, if it were me, I fully understand that I would be jailed. Being jailed would not stop me

Thank you for pointing out that my “exact words” never said it is okay to enter an abortion clinic, to enter the room where the abortion takes place and I certainly never said to kill the doctor.

Impeding a murder is not an act of terrorism by any stretch of the definition.

We ARE talking theoretically here and if one happened somehow to be in a room, impeding a murder is a right and, possibly an obligation, that one would have.

What is highly scandalous is that we even have to think of where the line is. There is a line, where is it morally? That is the excercise that somehow cannot be discussed because where to start defending life bothers some as much as an unjust agressor seems to.

They may as well shut it down for as much as it has derailed to people vomiting out accusations of terrorism and murder.

Really?? You said it. I repeat your words:
“I have thought about this before. If you see an abortionist about to perform an abortion then it is legitimate to use force to stop him, including lethal force.”
Lethal force means kill.
About to perform an abortion means you have to be inside the abortion room inside the abortion clinic.

Okay I’m done with this forum. If the mods can’t pull themselves together when someone is advocating pro-life terrorism, then I have no reason to be here.

There is a line, where is it morally?
Outside the clinic on a lawn with a rosary. If you’re invited to participate in an abortion, refuse and walk away, and join the people outside.

Any discussion of lethal action against the abortionist, should bring back to mind the actual killings against those doctors that have been done. And how much of a set back each and every single one of those have brought about.

End of story.
