What are Prayers of Submission & Sacrifice?

Jesus said to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque:
“The prayer of submission and sacrifice is more agreeable to Me than contemplation and every other kind of meditation, however holy it may appear.”

You’re welcome! I think that it’s about obedience. The Lord was asking her to submit to being obedient to her duties (submission) and to give up what she would have preferred doing (sacrifice). In this case, her duty was to take care of sick sisters in the infirmary on Easter Sunday, when she would rather have been in silent prayer with her community. Thus, submission to her duties and sacrifice of her own will became her prayers that morning, rather than contemplation, and this was more pleasing to Him.
