What are the different kinds of missals?

I wanted to know how many different missals exists. I suppose they all are subsets from a general missal. But for example, there is the “popular missal” the “daily and vesper missal”. So how many are there and how are they all called?

If anyone can also, please, explain the changing of missals over time.

A missal is a book of the text of the Mass. A google search will show you that there are many different missals. The Latin Catholic Church has Daily and Sunday Missals for the Ordinary Form Mass in many languages. The are also Extraordinary Form Missals of the Traditional Latin Mass. Many missals will contain other Catholic prayers beyond those in the Mass.
