What are the obligations for attending Mass when traveling?

When you are traveling in a camper and leave on Sunday, and unable to attend mass on Saturday is it a sin to miss mass? It will take us 2 days to travel home to see my family and we would like to leave on Sunday to get home by monday afternoon.
