Hi all,

Can you explain what these are:

Mass of the Lord’s Supper and Washing of the Feet
Celebration of the Lord’s Passion
Blessing of Food
Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday-Communion Service
Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday-The Seven Last Words of Christ

And also, does the Easter Vigil fulfill Sunday Mass?

Thanks,
Gene

Simply these are devotions that one may attend if they choose. None of these are obligations.

In the order that they normally occur:

Thursday evening:

Mass of the Lord’s Supper and Washing of the Feet

Just what it describes a Mass which includes a reenactment of Christ washing the feet of the 12 apostles.

Good Friday:

A reading of the Passion Gospel.
Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday-Communion Service

There is no Mass liturgy celebrated on Good Friday only a Communion service.

Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday-The Seven Last Words of Christ

Usually a reflection on the Seven Last Words of Christ from the Cross by seven different people.

Holy Saturday:

Blessing of Food

A sample of food to be eaten at the Easter meal is brought to the Church usually Saturday afternoon in baskets and is blessed. This has Polish or Slavic origins I believe.

And also, does the Easter Vigil fulfill Sunday Mass?

Yes.
