All I want is chocolate, chocolate truffles would be a plus. I don’t care about diamonds or BMWs. I just want CHOCOLATE. The more the better. If my hubby could make me a liquid chocolate bath, I would be in heaven.

One year he came home and asked me if I still wanted the same old same old for Valentine. He had overheard several women discussing how boring this was. I informed him very sternly that he was not to listen to those women. This girl wants CHOCOLATE!👍 😛

By the way what does your wife give you in return for a diamond and a BMW? I hope that she is not one of those women who like to be romanced but don’t do any romancing in return.

In past years, I made my hubby a special meal and a heart shaped cake. I’ve also sent roses to his office. He deserves to be romanced as much as I do.👍

He just left for Afghanistan today, No Valentine for me.😦 :crying:
Hey Deb if you give me your address Ill send you some chocolate–do you like LINDT??

I get to go to an inservice for CCD teachers at our parish. By myself. Yee Ha.

Hi,
Well, if we get the major snowstorm that is being predicted, my husband will be out plowing. Good overtime money:thumbsup: I will be on the forums:thumbsup: If it doesnt snow I will be taking my kids to church for youth group and boys brigade.

My husband and I dont believe in V-Day. It is just another Hallmark Holiday to make money. We give each other the same card every year—we read it and put it back in the cupboard for next year. We have been doing this for years:D The funny thing is I dont remember what the card says from year to year so it is fresh every time.👍 😃

My husband gets off easy because I dont want chocolate(too fattening)flowers die and I dont wear alot of jewelry. I use to work in a restaraunt so I wouldnt go near a restaraunt on V_DAY:nope:

We do get some candy for the kids:thumbsup:

I’ll probably be going to mass on St. Valentine’s. Alone, but I’ll offer it up for my future wife.
I asked my husband if he felt pressured about these and he laughed and said “no, why should I?” We have both forgotten our wedding anniversary one year, and, when we do celebrate it, it has become traditional to get Thai takeout and watch anime at home.
hahaha YES! That is great. What have you seen on Valentine’s Day?

Nada

Alas, she is. I put it down to her being Filipina. They tend to be materialistic in the extreme.

He’s a lucky man.

God bless you,
Paul

Well this year I have managed to have church committee meetings on both my birthday and Valentine’s Day , so I’ll be going to that after taking my daughter to a homeschool group Valentine’s Day bowling party and then to a local historic homesite for a homeschool Victorian Valentine’s Day event afterwards.

Usually we do a card, maybe some special extra extra dark chocolate or something. I bought him some special extra sharp imported cheese he likes as it was on sale (it’s usually out of our price range), Sometimes he will get my favorite white Stilton with fruit in it for a special treat. It’s fairly lowkey, even when (unlike this year) we have spare money. Between Dec 1 and mid January we have not only Winter Solstice gifts, but also both our birthdays, so we are usually a bit tapped out at that point.

For gifts we often do something handmade that is special, rarely expensive stuff, especially since I quit working to stay home with our daughter. Romantic and special doesn’t have to equal expensive. Things like him doing the dishes or my taking out the trash (when those are usually the other’s job) mean a lot.
