Thank you. I believe that answered my question. It appears they were very well versed in Catholic theology and language. They already had a very strong view of penance as well as “sacrificing” to save souls. They definitely held beliefs that would be foreign to most Protestants. The younger girl encouraged them to skip lunch so that their fasting would help keep people out of hell. They were already firm believers that their “works”, sacrificing, and suffering would win favor with God.

I’ll be interested to go back and read all of the contents of the visions and secrets to see if anything was revealed that would have conflicted with any beliefs they already held.

Her ‘heart’ was dedicated to God. She wants to encourage the same with us.

Her dedicated (to God) heart. In this instance, the word sacred means dedicated to God. Simple enough right?
 
The intellectual capacity of the Fatima children have been ordained.
