I was curious if anyone knows what version of the Bible Assemblies of God members use. Does anyone know?

Usually the KJV or NKJV, but also the Amplified Bible, various ones. Generally any version without the Apocrypha the extra books as they say.

I was on an Assemblies of God Bible Quiz team, and they used the NIV (New International Version) for that. Most of the people I knew there who were younger used the NIV, while the older members used KJV or NKJV. They don’t have an official translation used uniformly throughout their denomination, though.

KJV is the King Jame’s Version. NKJV is the New King Jame’s Version. I’m not entirely sure what all the differences are, but NKJV uses more modern language than the original.

NKJV has a lot less thees, thous, and forsakeths.
