I understand that certain things might be not be a big deal to us, but for God they can be a big deal. This makes it a little bit difficult for me to discern whether or not something i did is grave matter; therefore mortal sin.
Ex. Im at a restaurant with a parent and he ask me to ask the waiter for a utensil. Im shy however, and insist that he doesn’t need a fork because hes eating tacos or something and doesnt need it.
To me this wouldnt be a big deal. But yet again, this also goes against honoring my parents. Would something like this constitute a grave matter?
