I’m in RCIA and my sponsor is pretty special to me. She’s a rabid, foaming at the mouth Catholic who, whenever going to mass, or talking about Catholic things - turns green, develops huge muscles, and bursts out of her clothes.

Well, okay, it’s not that bad. But she’s pretty hard core and very cool. When I get to come in to the Church, I’d love to get her something special. It doesn’t have to me anything huge, but neither do I want to hand her a card cut out of cardboard, like a 5 year old, you know what I mean?

So the question is: what to get the Catholic who has/does everything?

😊

If as you say she has everything…you could always get a nice card noting that you are having a Mass or two being said for her! She is likely to have most of the spiritual items she needs if she wants for nothing. You could even go non-spiritual and accompany your gratitude card with some chocolates or flowers or a good coffee mug! Sometimes when I eat a chocolate or some such yummy, I think, ‘I wonder what Jesus would have thought of this’? And I wish I could share it in real time with Him…or other pleasant experiences not available over 2000 years ago…Oops my rabbid Catholic spirit is showing!!!
Unless you can cunningly elicit from her or her friends what she might like…Even non spiritual things are fine. If you look at Jesus in scripture He didn’t always have His hands joined. He also went visiting with friends and attended wedding feasts! So don’t let it worry you…

Congratulations and all God’s kind blessings, Trishie 🙂

I have seen inexpensive (please keep it inexpensive) wind chimes, bird houses, nice bowl. or necklaces. It should be a lasting token of appreciation.

written words of gratitude (on nice stationary or within a nice card) are usually very appreciated.

Perhaps a mild sedative is in order?😃 My wife and I gave our sponsors a nice bottle of wine that we had bought on a trip to the Biltmore Estate, along with a nice card thanking them for their sponsorship. They are also the godparents of our first child. I also like to give the Catholic Book of Household Blessings and Prayers. You can catch it on sale sometimes on Amazon for about $23, if you’re looking to spend that much. But in all honesty, probably words of appreciation, like some of the other posters said, will mean more than anything!👍
