Are there any versicle at the Bible that mention abstinence?
I’m trying to find something to say to those who are against the virginity before marriage

Jesus spoke of the sanctity of marriage. As a devout Jew, He would have known the Jewish law of the Old Testament which vigorously forbade sex outside of marriage (fornication or adultery). While Jesus did not permit a woman to be stoned to death for adultery, He did not ‘condone’ it and in fact told her that while she was not condemned (to death), “Go forth AND SIN NO MORE.” IOW, Jesus confirmed the sinful nature of the action, but did require the social/civic PENALTY of “DEATH” but rather, for the sincerely repentent, forgiveness and henceforth no longer sinning that sin.

Why is anybody ‘against’ virginity before marriage?’ Can you find any Jewish or Christian teachings which extol this, or treat it as no sin? In fact even in legal terms (based in the U.S. on British law which goes back to the Magna Charta), fornication and adultery were long considered criminal actions. So where is the great teaching (and who claims the authority of its inception) which finds the loss of virginity prior to marriage as something ‘morally good’ which GOD 'permits?" I’m curious . . .

I can find them everywhere !!!
They say that having sex with his/her fiancé is perfectly ok

They are ok against the adultery, but not on sex when the relationship is solid (before marriage)

The word in English that you might be looking for is “fornication”, although (and a Classicist can correct me!) the Greek word often used in the Bible is “porneia”. It’s used in conjunction with prostitution, adultery, fornication, incest, and other sexual sins like those. Don’t know what the Hebrew word was for OT references.

The first quote that comes to mind from Jesus specifically was talking about how if you even look at a woman lustfully, you’ve already committed fornication with her in your heart. But for solid stuff, I think Paul was a much more prolific writer on the subject (1 Corinthians ch. 6 * is the first one that comes to mind there). If you want to look at the Old Testament, you don’t have to look much past the Ten Commandments-- “Thou shalt not commit adultery” isn’t just an exhortation to not sleep around while married, but a commandment to live chastely according to your state in life.
Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor [f]effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

I find this hilarious.

How can a man insist that his wife be faithful in marriage when he insists that she have sex with him ouside of marriage? And how can a woman expect her husband to remain faithful in marriage if he can’t even exhibit the least self control prior? What does a marriage like that mean? Nothing more than a joint savings account, if that much.

Men demand unrestricted access to sex with their girlfriends and finance’s outside of marriage and then complain that they don’t get any sex when they are married. Well, what did you expect!
