What did the afterlife hold for the Old covenant?

In the times before christ and the Old covenant was in place…what was the afterlife for moses and abraham and every other jewish person within it?

Read Luke 16 there were two compartments in the grave, bossom of Abraham, paradise and a place of torture. The people who found favor in God’s eyes went to pardise side of the grave. At Jesus’s ressurrection he lead those in paradise into heaven which is the new location of paradise. Paul was caught up to paradise.
