What did you think about the democrats sitting at the president union address?
This thread has a few answers to that question:What did you think about the democrats sitting at the president union adress?
State of the Union: Glum Democrats sit on hands, walk out and rip President Trump’s call for unity . . . . Members during the address chose not to stand when Trump honored Louisiana Republican Rep. Steve Scalise and praised his resolve for returning to work less than four months after he “took a bullet” from a gunman and "almost died.” . And they chose not join in the applause for a 12-year-old boy in the gallery whom Trump praised for putting flags on soldiers’ graves on Veterans Day. . . . …
I love Nancy! I’m a Californian and never want to live any place else. And her husband, Paul, is great!I saw the clips the next day. (Still have the flu so didn’t see it live.) I feel it was in very poor taste. As for Nancy Pelosi’s stone faced expression, don’t get me started on her.
She and Paul have done so much for Californians. Almost all of us love her - and him! Our lives are better because of them. Of course, California is about the most Democratic state in the union.Seriously, I am asking you, what is it that you love about her? I actually have to mute the sound when she is on, I find what she says to be inflammatory and untrue.
I would like to know that also. What have Nancy and Paul done for California? That still doesn’t answer my question though. So, what has she done for California? Can you be more specific? I really don’t understand her appeal and I am trying to. She really did come across at the SOTU as a pouting child that found out she was caught in a lie.
This. It happens every year without fail. Republicans also sat when Obama said things they didn’t like, while Democrats stood and cheered. If you want to get them all standing, just mention those serving in the military and everyone will stand. Patriotism overrules partisan politics then. The Dems cheer the Dems and the Repubs cheer the Repubs and neither side cares much about the other side.
Between $30 and $50 million, primarily because of her Napa vineyards.I would like to know Nancy’s net worth!
Thank you, 7_Sorrows. I’m working on it.Hope you feel better soon!
How do you know what Ted Kennedy was thinking?Btw, I liked Nancy Pelosi too until the day she showed how she really feels about the Catholic Church by receiving Holy Communion when then Pope Benedict XVI was in America. (Kind of an “in your face” attitude.) Sen Ted Kennedy remained seated knowing that his views went against the Church’s. But she went up and received in total defiance of Church teaching. There was an outcry later that her priest and bishop ought to reprimand her and deny her reception of Holy Communion. But as far as I know, she’s still receiving.
I think that’s her net worth, not liquid cash.I knew she was wealthy, but I didn’t know she had that much money!
I don’t. But he’d already stated that he would remain seated because his views were in opposition of the Catholic Church’s. And that part of Pope Benedict XVI’s visit was carried by the MSM not just EWTN. (I bought EWTN’s DVDs to get the full coverage.)lilypadrees:

Thank you, Lily. That lets us know, more or less, what he was thinking and why he did not take communion. He did the right thing.I don’t.
