I have friends who are devout muslims and one I worked closely with.

No I go in stores and it is women working in this nieghborhood a client of mine is head of human resources at Nintendo and she said she has 100’s of Muslim women working for her and not a single man
I know someone who has a cleaning company has over 20 Muslim women working for him and typically one man will come in a van and pick up 3-4 women
Muslim men are not at typical American jobs during the day at least here in Seattle regarding recent immigrants

I have worked with many Muslim men in different cities in healthcare. I am also aware of at least one town in Tennessee where a large percentage of employees at the poultry plant were Muslim (mostly Somalis, I think).

I admit I cannot make a generalization. I do know muslims but they tend to be from africa and not middle eastern, in fact mostly from west and east africa. So I realize I am talking about a very select group. Most of the ones I knew were international students who had families with them.
I know some of the african muslim communities are refugees and they are usually relocated in specific communities.
So basically, may be knowing a little bit about that muslim community in particular would help you get closer to your answer. For example, if it is mostly first generation immigrants? are they refugees? etc.
Why does this matter? - For example if they are refugees coming from Somalia, Sudan etcthe men may not necessarily be there. Sometimes the women and children come first. Each immigrant group looks different. You would probably find something similar if you look for example at Caribbean households in DC, NY and Connecticut…mostly women. And it is because the women and children usually go first and the men usually join later.
