If you have children from the marriage, or if the ring has sentimental value apart from the marriage (e.g., it’s a family ring), you might set aside the ring as a memento. If you don’t have children to save it for and the ring belonged to someone in your ex-spouse’s family (e.g., parent’s or grandparent’s ring), it would be nice to return the ring to your ex. Otherwise, you’re free to do with the ring as you like, including to sell it.
