I have seen this type of question posed on the forums many times and the variety of answers makes it very confusing.

I am a new Catholic, as of Easter. I found a copy of Luther’s Small Catechism the other day while cleaning. What is the proper thing to do with this book? I suppose my options include: dropping it off at my old church, throwing it away, or giving it to a Catholic apologist. What is the best answer?

If I were to give it to my old Lutheran church, is that considered a sin, or a near occasion of sin, because I am a Catholic assisting the Lutheran church in their belief system?

Thank you.
