Do priests who don’t know each other call each other “Father”?
 
Yes, and so do priests who do know each other. Just last night a priest told me a beautiful story of a priest friend of his who used to work with then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger at the CDF and who met him again shortly after Benedict XVI’s election to the papacy. The Pope called him “Father.”
