When our guys were pre-school age, we would pack up the wagon or coaches, some books, a little cassette player and kid tapes and a picnic and hike through our local state park. The kids would walk for as long as they wanted, then hop in the wagon or coach for some down time. It was always funny to see passer-by folks looking at our kids in their coaches singing along to a disney song. My husband and I got our exercise and the kids loved it. As the weather got cooler, we’d bring some blankets.
As a bonus, we now know just about every trail in that park and still hike it with our kids, but without the coaches or wagon.
