I’m in a position today where I can’t get to Mass 😦 I’m so disappointed, especially since I’ve only been to Mass once during the week this week (yesterday) and today is First Friday!

What are some things you do or prayers you say on days when you really wanted to go to Mass but couldn’t make it? On a positive note, I think Eucharistic Adoration may be a possibility for me tonight 🙂 I’m also planning on praying the Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy, making a spiritual communion, and spiritual reading.

Cheer me up and give me some more suggestions 😃

I am sorry you can’t go to mass today. You can pray for receiving Spiritual Communion.

first, understand that God is not bound by the Sacraments and can more than make up for your missing Mass and Holy Communion.
it places a longing in your heart, this you now know.
imagine the people who dont even have a Priest in their villages to have Mass but once every month! or few months!
offer it up for them, offer it up for Priests.

absense makes the heart grow fonder

of course go over the readings for that day… go through the mass as i remember it, like a movie playing in my mind (contemplative prayer?), spiritual communion… sincere repentence for missing mass… then top that off with some flogging and crawling on broken glass. j/k!

I missed daily Mass all of last week as I was in a business trip (I wish that it’d be easier to find out when there’s Mass at airports) and this week I had to work through lunch (when I attend daily Mass) several times.

When I can, in addition to the daily readings, I sometimes also check out the Office of Readings for the day here.

:blessyou:
