What do you do when you're attracted to your priest?

We have a new priest in our parish and, the first day he said Mass, when he looked at me his eyes kind of bugged out; and, well, now he hardly ever looks at me except to see if I am looking at him. I don’t know what to do. Now, he is young and cuteish but I don’t want to go to hell for having an attraction to a priest, and I can’t figure out why he won’t look at me. Okay, to be fair, I kind of like him. I just don’t know what to do. Please help me.

I cannot presume to assess what your priest was thinking based on a look. For all I know, his eyes may have “bugged out” because he saw a baby spitting up on the pew behind you. All I can assess is your own admitted attraction to this priest. Based on that alone, I can only recommend that you find another parish to attend at the next possible opportunity. By continuing to go to a parish where you are attracted to a priest and believe (rightly or wrongly) that he may be attracted to you too, you are placing yourself in what is known as a “near occasion of sin.” You can avoid that by finding a new parish immediately.
