I just got back from spending a week with my Auntie, who as of last sunday is a widow. She was married for over 55 years to my uncle. We attended the funeral and my cousins and I stayed with her during this very raw and unbelievably devastating time. Also, her younger brother is in the ICU for over a month now. My uncle died and he is still in there, not doing that great…(copd and a bunch of other stuff now going on) Anyway, they are not really religious, however she said she wants to start going back to church because she was very comforted by what the deacon said at the wake service. I try to say what I can to her and I guess more importantly live my evangelization and she has seen what my faith brings to my life and she definately has a belief in God. She was just never instructed, you know. Anyway, she also likes to read and finds comfort in music. This is such a emotionally confusing time…I was wondering if there are any good books that might help her.

Off the top of my head, the Baltimore Catechism is easy to comprehend. It explains the faith in terms anyone of any age can understand.

Sounds like a great grace was given to your aunt. I will pray for her complete and total conversion…and for you, so that the Holy Ghost leads you to say and do the right thing for her eternal soul.

God bless my dear…
