What do you think of Grace Kelly? Do you think that she’s a good woman? Do you think she’s conservative? Do you think that she’s actually a good Catholic or does it seem that there are secrets about her that she isn’t? How do you judge her in relation to the Kennedy’s?

I’m curious as to why you’re asking @Francisco_Fernando?

I think she was a very elegant lady who obviously cared a lot for her children. I recently watched a programme on Monaco, part of which followed her son, Prince Albert. He obviously loved her greatly, and spends a lot of time keeping her memory alive.

I think she is dead and hope her soul is in repose and her survivors are comforted by the hope of eternal life through the mercy of God and the death and resurrection of Christ.

Thank you for asking!

Everyone who’s ever lived has a “past”. Expecting anyone to be perfect will only lead to disappointment and it’s really not healthy.

Don’t listen to gossip and hearsay. What good does it do?

As @Irishmom2 said, she died in 1982. Ruminating on things that may or may not have happened is pointless.

I wonder if he really has repented for his actions. I don’t know what’s in his heart.

It’s none of our business. It would be gossiping and judgemental on our part to question.

Please, stop worrying about everyone else, and look into your own life.

Whom am I to judge anyone? Am I Father in heaven ? No… Only he Can and should judge anyone…

Again I’m not trying to defame a dead woman. Sometimes I wonder if the rumors are all true and if they are, how can we see Princess Grace in a positive light? I’m still wondering if it is a myth that Princess Grace was this great Catholic woman.
Given that the Princess herself, as well as many of the other people involved in these rumours, are long since passed on, it is unlikely we will ever know. Nor is it our business to know.

Most particularly, the question of whether she finally repented is literally only known to herself and God and is literally nobody else’s business.

Beautiful lady, beautiful family, may she rest in peace.

Is this really an appropriate question to be asking, about a public figure who was not in Holy Orders, whose spiritual authority extended only to the education of her own children (or, being generous, being the wife of a Catholic monarch of a microscopic principality of some twenty thousand souls)?

Maybe time to close this thread?

I realize the OP had the best of intentions in posing the question, but the relevant points have been discussed about as much as they can be. Princess Grace was not a manifest public sinner, and even if she had been, it wouldn’t be in our place to pass judgment on the situation.

May she rest in peace.
