The book Noli Me Tangere is all about the the colonization of the country by Spain to describe perceived inequities of the Spanish Catholic priests and the ruling government.
The book El Filibusterismo is the sequel to the first book that he wrote
I really advice you read it we studied this last year in 9th grade it was both enlightening and depressing because almost every part of that story is fiction yet it shows the reality during the spanish era and how abusive the government and priests’ were back then.
