I am doing a examination of the five thesis of Martin Luther. I ticked of Sola scripture; Christ Alone and Glory to God alone as I agree with the idea of honouring saints for their relationship with God? should I reconsider, is there any scripture on it? how does it all work. I need to see the bigger picture.

The magnificat is pretty good scripture to help explain. Mary and the saints do not keep any glory to themselves but give it to God.

Something to think about is what does it mean to honor someone? It’s a sign of respect. We give that person honor because we respect them, which is something we should do out of love. It also exemplifies that they are heroes worth imitating. When we honor them, we call to mind what they did and gain strength to imitate them. In the case of saints, what they do is for God, therefore we are calling to mind how to praise God

the First Commandment " I Am the Lord, thy God, thou shalt not have strange Gods before Me" Its Glory to God alone
The Catholic Church honours Mary and the Saints - this is not to confused with the worship which is due to God alone.

Yes, we agree.
But we think creation declares the glory of God. When you see a painting and say, “What a beautiful painting!” is it not a compliment to the artist?

Glory is not only God’s:

John 17:22 - The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one.

According to my bible footnotes - ’ What Christ conferred upon His disciples was something of the divine nature, a further aspect of the principle of unity ’

What does it mean to say ‘glory to God alone’; what is meant by ‘glory’ here?
