I just received the book “Christ’s Mother and Ours” by Fr Oscar Lukefahr and a workbook. This Catholic Home Study program was recommended on one of the posts. Before I start this Bible study I would like to know what you think. Is this sound teaching? They offer several others and I would I have been wanting a Bible study program. I’m just trying to be careful. Your (name removed by moderator)ut would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes…this is very sound teaching. It is one of seven free courses from the Catholic Home Study Service.
See 'em here! amm.org/chss/chss.htm

this book was the first step that brought me home to the faith after over 34 years away. It rocks! :irish1:

I have heard nothing but good things about Fr. Lukefahr and actually have read A Catholic Guide to the Bible by him.

check out the Catholic Scripture Study written by Scott Hahn and Mark Shea. last year i did the one on the gospel of john, and this year i’m co-leading the study on the book of exodus. this study is so amazing. i’m serious. i’m not even sure if i can really explain how much it has helped me and revealed so much to me. i highly suggest it to anyone interested in an orthodox study of the bible.

Fr Luke is a good friend of mine. I can attest to the fact the he is a devout, orthodox priest. He is a Vincentian from Perryville, Missouri. I highly recommend his studies and also recommend his parish missions which he does year round. I beleive you can email him if your parish is interested in bringing him to your parish. 👍
