What does being a Catholic mean to you?

Does it define you as a person?

Is it the most important thing in your life?

Does this identity come before your national identity? For example, do you consider yourself Catholic first and American second?

Being a Catholic means, to me, submission to the Pope and the teachings of the Church.

My identity as a Catholic is seperate from my identity as a citizen. I render onto Ceaser that which is Ceaser’s. Including taxes:mad: and I try to render onto the God that which is God’s.👍

In the event of a conflict between these two, especially over things like homosexuality and abortion…well…“The King’s Good Servent, but God’s First.”

Anxiety, scruples, doubt, fear and following as many rules as I can remember. 😦

Aw… “OTP” :hug1: Why don’t you make it about the Eucharist, instead. Give all those other things to Jesus. (This advice offered, by “the Princess of Scruples” 😃 lol) God bless you.

Being Catholic means having the very best possible chance at getting to Heaven and being with the Holy Trinity for eternity.👍

Of course in the end it’s all up to how I choose to live my life and God’s Grace, but being Catholic is the best way to get there. It’s the instructions Christ gave us so we could be with Him always.

In short - being Catholic is everything to me.

It is not something I do - it is who I am.

my best answer which no one is rightious not one man however the answer is the mirror image of gods word in the bible. or in the image of christ.

however society proclaims us as a mirror image of our felow beings as well. tv prepares us for such things seing the delicacy in a flower or rose. being thin health and rich keeping in the times.

there are many influential things that so call mold our every day living walking our stretts in the day seeing our bretheren cross the street.

but in total its living beside god hand in hand down the walk way of life.

“What does being a Catholic mean to you?”

Member of a great, civilization-building church, the oldest ever, and most accurate in its understanding of the True God.

“Does it define you as a person?”

Yes. Catholic psychology certainly does define me.

“Is it the most important thing in your life?”

Yes.

“Does this identity come before your national identity?”

Yes, although that’s a tough question to answer.

“For example, do you consider yourself Catholic first and American second?”

Yes. God must come before all else.

Being Catholic means everything to me and it is who I am, but being an American is who I am too. I just am what I am and don’t tend to separate myself into parts. However, if it ever came to the point where I had to choose, I would of course choose God, because He is the most important thing in my life.

Right now? It’s something I wish I still had.
