What does dh mean?

Hi there. Just wondering what the inititals dh stand for? I’ve read it in several posts and it must have something to do with husband but not sure?? Thanks!

There are a number of internet abbreviations… I don’t know them all but I know this one!

DH = dear husband

others would be DW = dear wife, DD dear daughter, DS dear son… etc…

LOL = laughing out loud… IMHO = in my humble opinion… etc…
 
“Dear Husband” - that makes sense. I thought it was “divorced husband” and as I was reading all these posts I kept thinking, Wow! Divorce is just rampant in these poor families - and with such young children too!
What a relief! 🙂
 
Oh… I thought LOL meant Lots of Luck. Aha, Now it all makes sense.
 
I’ve noticed many people abbreviate various Church phrases on these boards. I too am confused. Could somebody think of a few and translate for me? Example YM=Youth Ministry (Minister)
 
Lets see, which ones do I know… :hmmm:

EMHC - Extrodinary Minister of Holy Communion
OBM - Our Blessed Mother
BVM - Blessed Virgin Mary
RCIA - not sure, but it is adult catholic education of catecumens.

Help anyone?
 
GF = Girl Friend
BF = Boy Friend
GB = God Bless
U 2 = You too
C U L8R = See You Later
 
DH??? Ah…in the sixties it became popular to be a DEADHEAD!!! Man…the Grateful Dead? Jerry Garcia - God rest his soul… DH - deadhead…yah - that’s what my brain remembers…
