I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews about CCR (mostly good though). I’ve always been a CCR fan, but I just got the Chronicles album, which is essentially a collection of the greatest hits. I havn’t stopped listening to it since. What does everyone here think about them, and maybe even a favourite song? Mine would be Run Through the Jungle, and Heard it Through the Grapevine to, I mean they had a 6 minute solo, it’s like 6 minutes of pure bliss.

CCR is one of the best. Lodi is good. Or looking out My Back Door.

Yeah both great songs. I notice that many of CCR’s songs are up-lifting, even if they are about bad things or tradjedy, perfect example: Bad Moon Rising. That song could make me feel happy no matter what, but if you look up the lyrics thats some pretty horrible stuff coming.

Great band! Many wonderful songs, I love them! Born on the Bayou, Who’ll stop the rain, Bad moon rising (I think this is my #1), Proud Mary, Down on the Corner, I heard it through the grapevine, Have you ever seen the rain, Suzie Q, and Lookin out my backdoor are all songs that most people from that era would instantly recognize even if they are not that aware of CCR.

John Fogerty has done some very good albums on his own as well, worth checking out if you like CCR…

Oh I think they’re a great band. Also one of my brother’s favorites so I remember listening to them on the way to school in the morning a few years ago…he had one of those “greatest hits” cd’s. I like Run through the Jungle as well, and Fortunate Son I think is my favorite of their’s.

Yeah CCR doesn’t get as much recognition as they deserve, songs like “Fortunate Son” are very popular and easily recognized, but rarely associated with CCR.
