Good morning everyone. I have several questions today I’m hoping some of you can answer. First, a little background information:
I am a 32 year old Catholic who’s never been married and who has received all of the standard sacraments at this point in my life (Baptism, First Communion, Reconciliation, Confirmation).
My boyfriend was baptized a Cathlolic as an infant, but his involvement in the Catholic church ended at around age 2, upon his parents’ divorce. His mother remarried and he was raised in the Methodist church. He took part in a Methodist Confirmation (not sure if it’s called the same thing in the Methodist church). In his mid-to-late teenage years, he stopped attending church all together and has not been a part of any faith since (he’s now 35 years old).
He is also divorced. He was married to a non-Catholic in a non-Catholic ceremony. I believe a Methodist minister performed the ceremony and it was held outside of the Methodist church as well.
Since we began dating, he is very interested in coming back into the Catholic faith. He attends church with me and enjoys it. We hope to marry and raise a Catholic family.
My questions are this:

My questions are this:
- Would his first marriage qualify for a “lack of form” annulment?
- What would he need to do to receive the other Catholic sacraments (Communion, Reconciliation, Confirmation, etc.)? Would he have to attend RCIA classes? Would these requirements depend on the particular parish and priest?
