Can anyone tell me what **they ** think to be Anti-Catholic is? When I tell fundamentalists that they are Anti-Catholic … they say they aren’t - they are just trying to get us to see the truth. They ignore that they are infact being Anti-Catholic!

There IS a difference between being anti-Catholic and being “a witness to Protestantism” (or even being an atheist, non-Catholic, etc.).

To me, someone who is anti-Catholic doesn’t just not accept Catholicism, but actively dislikes and distrusts it. There are plenty of Protestants who view Catholics the way we view them–separated brethren. That view is relatively impartial and unbiased. It accepts that there is a legitimate difference of opinion between the Catholic and the other person, without demonizing or criticising either. (And of course, we can always pray for the other person to come to the faith!)

An anti-Catholic can be as blatant as the Jack Chick devotee, or as subtle as the “rationalist” who starts out “just wondering why Catholics think as they do about a particular subject”, ignores the answers or starts asking about OTHER subjects without addressing the original, and finally ends up ranting and raving about “papists”, bigots, sheep(le), etc. etc.

We can (and should) still pray for them, as well.
