(As I probably said somewhere earlier in this thread, which started so long ago I don’t remember very well…)
I am a Christ-follower who happens not to be Catholic or Orthodox, so I’m Protestant by default. I am neither proud of it nor ashamed of it. It simply is.
There is a fair bit of theology in both the Catholic and Orthodox traditions that I believe they have more right than we Protestants. But both demand I accept their whole packages in order to join, and I don’t agree with their whole packages… so I remain Protestant. I think I could be Old Catholic (Utrecht) if they had any US presence, which they don’t. (No, other Old Catholics don’t work for me, only Utrecht.)
