I’ve never come across anything in Church teaching that would rule out colonization. So it seems morally neutral as best I can tell.

I don’t think it is going to happen because we can’t even colonize the bottom of the ocean or the poles for that matter.

I think you’re confusing us. It was Joseph Smith that said there were 6 foot people dressed like Quakers on the moon. It was Brigham Young said there was life on the Sun.
