What does the Bible say about pre-marital sex?

Thank you,
Michael

Not sure of the exact reference, but there is one point in the bible where God gives Moses some rules called the Ten Commandments, for everyone to live by. I think it is somewhere in Exodus. The sixth of these commandments is ‘Thou shalt not commit adultery’, and adultery includes premarital sex.

martino:
it says fornicators will not see the kingdom of heaven.
Book, Chapter, Verse please

Please note, I believe it is a sin, this is for a Protestant friend, who said the Bible does not say anything about pre-marital sex.

go back to post #2…the link provided did cite several passages you can use.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body."

Ephesians 5:3
But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.

Ephesians 5:5
Be sure of this, that no fornicator or impure man, or one who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

It seems pretty clear to me.

Thanks Eileen; and that’s only the NEW Testament!

Basically, as your Protestant friend well knows but doesn’t wish to acknowledge, it is FORNICATION. and Thou shalt not do it. Ever.Or your Soul will be imperilled.
