It’s definitely mutually exclusive. Santeria is a tribal polytheistic African pagan religion overlain with some words to make it sound Christian. I used to be involved peripherally with it in part of 1990 in California. I read the books and talked to students of it, who set up an altar for me and showed me rituals. It has nothing to do with Christianity. The “saints” of Santeria are the West African deities also worshipped in Vodoun and similar religions throughout Latin America and the Caribbean: Ogun, Babalu, Oshun, Ellegua (Papa Legba), et al.

I agree with Survive. Santeria uses the Catholic saints as covers for African deities.

Let there be no doubt about it! Santeria is of the Devil!!!

It has no consistency or foundation in catholic teaching.

If you are a santero you are in league with the devil and you are in grave danger.
