The Church has no position on so-called “near death experiences.”
They may be real, they may be a biochemical brain issue. Perhaps some are real and other aren’t. Either way the Church has nothing to do with them since they are not connected to Scripture or Apostolic Tradition.
Even if a particular experience was real, it was a private revelation to that individual and therefore there is nothing for the Church to get involved in. If someone claimed they had a near death experience that required them to preach a particular message to the Church then it would need to be accompanied by the same signs of the supernatural that are required of other Church approved apparitions.
