What does the Pope do with all the relics they give him?

After the Pope canonises someone, what does the Pope do with the relic that they give him of the saint? John Paul II declared a lot of saints and blesseds, so I would imagine that there were a lot. Do they put it in the archives or something?

Also, since the Holy Father doesn’t do beatifications anymore, do they still give relics to him?
 
The relics are kept in a special room with other relics. I do not know the name of this room though.
