What does this mean? (from an EoC)

I am reviewing an EoC and was wondering if someone could tell me exactly what this means:

*Have I omitted religious duties or practices through motives of human respect?

It would seem to be an examination of conscience.

Did you choose not to attend Mass\Divine Liturgy or other religious practice in order to not feel embarrassed or to be seen as one of the ‘in crowd’?

Yes, it’s from an examination of conscience I was looking over, and got to that question under the First Commandment and didn’t understand what it meant.

So, kind of like…pride? Not fulfilling an obligation due to fear of embarrassment?
